performance monitoring framework

The performance monitoring framework (PMF) complements the funding policy and aims to achieve the best client outcomes with the available funding by rewarding enhanced performance and sharing responsibility for service delivery with service providers.

Services will be monitored for:

  • compliance with their service agreement
  • the extent to which outcomes are achieved under the service specification and service agreement

The framework will be used to monitor and review all services funded through renewable and fixed-term Community Services contracts.

The framework does not apply to one-off projects of one year or less, or fee-for-service arrangements. These projects will be monitored through their specific contracts and similar principles will apply.

Service providers will be informed – in writing – about the performance monitoring requirements that apply to the Community Services program(s) from which they are funded. Changes to performance monitoring requirements will be made known to service providers as, and when, these changes are implemented.

There is a user guide, complete with templates and sample letters for each of the following programs:

Community program officers can be contacted through your regional office.
