NSW food program

The NSW Food Program funds organisations to transport and distribute food throughout NSW to support disadvantaged children, individuals and families and to strengthen disadvantaged communities.

FACS has administered the NSW Food Program since 1 July 2013.

The following goods may be transported under the program:

  • non-perishable food
  • perishable food that can be transported without the need for refrigeration.

For-profit organisations and individuals are not eligible to participate in the program.

The NSW Food Program Guidelines provide an overview of the program, its objectives and expected outcomes.
