Overview

Demand for the Department’s services continues to increase with reports of suspected child abuse and neglect rising six per cent over last year.

 

In June 2008, DoCS received the last of the NSW Government’s $1.2 billion funding boost announced in late 2002.

 

This reform package has meant great changes to the way we work and operate and we expect further change will result from the recommendations of the Special Commission of Inquiry into Child Protection Services in NSW...[more]
