Pram safety awareness
CityRail and CountryLink’s pram safety awareness campaign is aimed at educating parents and carers about ways they can help to protect the safety and security of children in prams at stations and on trains.
The campaign provides simple safety tips for parents and carers, such as remaining stationary and secure while on platforms and trains, and boarding and alighting trains near the guard.
Resources and information will be provided to parents and carers through baby health clinics and playgroups, and will be available at railway stations.
CityRail and CountryLink will also partner with DoCS, local councils and council-run baby health centres, play and women’s groups, pharmacies and medical centres in order to reach families with young children and babies.
Posters, brochures and fact sheets are available by contacting Michelle Eager at RailCorp on 8202 2289 or michelle.eager@railcorp.nsw.gov.au. Safety information is also available on www.cityrail.info and www.countrylink.info.
