DoCS Corporate Directions 2007/08
Corporate Directions 2007/08 is the Department’s one-year plan. It sits under the DoCS Corporate Plan 2004/05–2008/09. It reinforces our core values and reflects our continuing commitment to achieve better results and improved services for children, families and communities in NSW.
Corporate Directions 2007/08 details the overall priorities for DoCS as well as priorities by program, for community services, prevention and early intervention, statutory child protection and out-of-home care. It also includes the priorities for DoCS’ continuing organisational development.
This year we are nearing the end of the reform program for DoCS and Corporate Directions 2007/08 demonstrates the enormous changes that we have all achieved during the past four years.
For 2007/08, we are committed to continuing to build and improve:
- our services and programs
- our data quality and information management
- our workforce capacity
- our relationships with government and non-government agencies
- all aspects of our work that combine to produce better results for our clients
In 2007/08, as in every year, DoCS relies on partnerships with clients, staff, funded service providers, colleagues in government agencies and the community to achieve better results for the children of NSW and their families.
