research & evaluation program
DoCS undertakes and commissions research into a range of issues related to its core business, including prevention and early intervention, child protection and out-of-home care.
These projects are managed by DoCS Centre for Parenting and Research. The Centre's work is guided by DoCS’ Research Agenda.

The work of the Centre is also guided by a Research Advisory Council, comprising 10 academic experts in the fields of child protection, child development, social policy, health and education from universities across NSW.
